Scan Cloud applications include Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and local network folders, and a scan-to-USB feature is also available. Users expect app-based, touchscreen-triggered technology in the office, thanks to smartphones and newer MFPs. The 8-inch touchscreen display on the Xerox N60w Scanner provides that experience. There are built-in applications for scanning to Cloud destinations such as Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive, email sending, local network folders, and even scanning to USB. A distinctive "shortcuts" feature allows you to save specific scan job settings on the home screen, providing end users with simple one-touch icons with familiar names. There is an app that allows you to send scans to multiple destinations, and the scanner can also function as a WiFi hotspot for mobile devices.

Network scanners are not all the same. Some provide network connectivity only to tether to a required PC to run scanner software, while others are entirely self-contained devices. Both options are available with the Xerox N60w Scanner. This is referred to as Hybrid Scanning. Gigabit Ethernet and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n allow for network-independent scanning. A USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface allows for direct-to-PC access to Visioneer OneTouch and Capture SE apps, as well as ABBYY FineReader 15 Standard, all of which use its advanced TWAIN" driver plus technology. Furthermore, an SDK is available to enable system integrators and IT teams to create custom applications using the Android-based system in the N60w scanner.

The Xerox N60w meets customers' security requirements by supporting multiple communication protocols, including TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, FTPS, SMB, DHCP, and DNS. Email is handled via SMTP, and LDAP address books are supported. On-screen and web-based Administrator applications provide extensive configuration control, including the critical option of creating multiple users accounts to control who can use which scanner applications.
